Diagnosis and therapy in conventional medicine are based on two principles: (1) on the symptoms to be eliminated, (2) on the morphological findings to be identified. The notion of disease is based on cellular pathology, but sometimes, even before morphological changes in cell become identifiable, the patient has symptoms identifiable only in the energy level. In that particular case, the diagnostic therapeutically process of electro-acupuncture provides us with a method that measured stress stimulus, can be used to test the humoral, neuronal and hormonal control system before morphological findings can be proven. Electro-acupuncture provides the first opportunity for a functional diagnosis, and work in the principle of acupuncture using points located in the hands and feet that represent the different meridians of acupuncture. When electro-acupuncture tests a patient, the different points represent an organ or system to be treated by the practitioner.
