Homeopathy
is a medical science based in the precept of the Law of the
Similars. With
homeopathy, the patients can be treated using small doses (diluted) of
substances from mineral, vegetables and animal sources. |

The substances may be made from plants such as aconite, dandelion, plantain; from minerals such as iron phosphate, arsenic oxide, sodium chloride; from animals such as the venom of a number of poisonous snakes, or the ink of the cuttlefish; or even from chemical drugs such as penicillin or streptomycin. These substances are diluted carefully until little of the original remains. Homeopathy rests on the principle "Like Cures Like." This means that a disease can be cured by a medicine that is capable of producing symptoms similar to those experienced by the patient in a healthy person. For example: the poison of the bee. When a bee bites a person, it produces inflammation, redness, pain and a hot sensation in the area. When homeopathy prepares the same poison, but diluted, it can treat persons with inflammation, redness of the affected area and pain. Homeopathy treats all of the symptoms of the patients, not separately, and looks for the root of the symptoms when treating the patients. Homeopathy stimulates the intrinsic mechanism of the human defense (like vaccines), and the body can defend itself against the illness. Homeopathy can be used in conjunction with other medical treatments. Homeopathy's aim is the cure: "The complete restoration of perfect health," Who can be treated with homeopathy? Any patient, from newborns to elders, can be treated with homeopathic medicines. The treatment is safe and non-addictive.
